Registered Veterinary Technician
Client Care Representative
I was lucky enough to grow up in the Vancouver area, surrounded by the beautiful ocean and mountains. I completed my undergraduate degree in Applied Animal Biology at the University of British Columbia in 2015, and for many years I dabbled in a variety of animal-related careers (as a shelter attendant, a dog trainer, an off-leash dog walker and more!). Was there ever a time in my life where my clothes were not covered in dog hair and cat fur? I’m not convinced… I have always had a passion for caring for animals, but as soon as I got my first job as a veterinary receptionist, I knew I was hooked.
It was only a few years later that I graduated from Thompson Rivers University with my Diploma in Animal Health Technology. My favourite part of being an RVT is that I get to help to decrease the stress and anxiety of veterinary visits for my patients (and their caring owners, too). While I will miss my coastal life dearly, I have a sneaking suspicion that Canmore has more than enough mountains to make it feel like home. I look forward to getting to know all the people and pets of Canmore; extra treats and chin scratches may or may not be provided to all pets with parents who tell me about their favourite local hikes!
